Consortium

PHOREVER consortium consists of 8 partners, among which 4 academic organizations (ICCS, University of Ioannina, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Amsterdam UMC), 1 industry-oriented research institutes (CSEM), 1 SME (PHIX) and 2 large companies (LioniX, LRE Medical) originating from 4 countries (Greece, Germany, The Netherlands and Switzerland).

Biomedical Engineering Laboratory is working to produce solutions beyond the state of the art. Since 1989, we have relentlessly studied the relevant literature and have been striving to overachieve. With an ever growing family of researchers and alumni we have had the maximum impact on society and we continue to work effortlessly in order to produce even more.

The Photonics Communications Research Laboratory (PCRL) was founded in September 1995 by Prof. Hercules Avramopoulos, as a research facility of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), and member of the Institute of Communications & Computer Systems (ICCS). It currently numbers 31 doctoral, post-doctoral researchers and support personnel. Their research interests include optical interconnects and telecommunications, digital signal processing, photonic integrated circuit (PIC) design, and biophotonics/sensing
