PHOREVER Featured in HaDEA Spotlight on EU Projects Advancing Cancer Research

The PHOREVER Project has been featured in the latest spotlight article by the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) on projects advancing the fight against cancer in Europe.

The article, titled “Spotlight on cancer: projects advancing the fight against one of Europe’s biggest public health challenges”, highlights EU-funded initiatives contributing to prevention, early detection, diagnosis and treatment under Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan and the EU Cancer Mission.

Funded under Horizon Europe, PHOREVER is developing a compact and portable diagnostic device designed for the early detection of pancreatic cancer through a simple blood test. The project focuses on the rapid identification and analysis of extracellular vesicles (EVs), microscopic particles found in blood that can provide valuable information about the presence and progression of disease.

By combining photonics technologies with advanced biomedical diagnostics, PHOREVER aims to support healthcare professionals with faster, less invasive and more accessible tools for disease detection and monitoring. In addition to pancreatic cancer, the project is also exploring applications for the early detection of stroke.

The inclusion of PHOREVER in the HaDEA article highlights the growing importance of innovative EU research projects in addressing major public health challenges and advancing patient-friendly healthcare solutions across Europe.
