New PHIX Blog Post for PHOREVER Project

We’re excited to highlight a new blog post from our partner PHIX Photonics Assembly, showcasing their latest advances in medical diagnostics developed within the PHOREVER project.

With existing diagnostic tools struggling to detect EVs smaller than 150 nm, the PHOREVER platform introduces a compact, cost-effective device that combines:

  • Flow Cytometry (FCM) for particle detection and classification,

  • Fluorescence Sensing for biomarker identification,

  • Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) for enhanced microimaging and noise reduction.

PHIX’s work involves assembling vertically stacked PICs with etched keyhole slots that align a glass capillary at their center — a design that enables efficient light transmission and high-sensitivity sample interrogation.
